The Board of Directors and Staff of HIS hold to and operate under the following spiritual position and worldview. At the time of enrollment, each family enrolling in classes at HIS must sign this statement, indicating your acknowledgement of and respect for this position.

▪ There is one God as expressed in the Scriptures commonly known as the Holy Bible. He is eternally existent in three Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. (John 1:1; John 10:30; 1 John 5:7;

▪ The Son, our Lord Jesus Christ is God and Man in One Person. He was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, performed miracles, and died for the sins of mankind. He rose from the dead, ascended into heaven, and will personally return in power and glory to judge the living and the dead. (John 10:30; Matthew 1:18-25; Leviticus 17:11; I Peter 2:24; Hebrews 9:12; I John 2:2; Revelation 5:9;

Luke 24:1-53; Matthew 24; I Thessalonians 4:16-17)

 

▪ The Holy Spirit indwells all true believers and enables them to live a life pleasing to God.

▪ Because of His gracious love for humanity, God offers every person eternal life. This gift is received by faith—that is, trusting in Jesus Christ alone for salvation. (John 3:16; Ephesians 2:8-9; Romans 3:28-30; Galatians 2:16; Philippians 3:9)
